I love this scale. I had been looking for a simple, accurate, nice looking, not too expensive bathroom scale for a while. I purchased this scale because of reviews on amazon. I initailly had no intention of providing another glowing review because the product has well over 1000 positive recommendations. It works as well as others say it does and I had nothing to add.
However, after getting and email to provide feedback, I decided to leave a brief comment that although I love the scale, I was disappointed that the product box I received was severely damaged with a giant hole. The shipping box was in pristine shape, filled with one book, lots of packing air filled “bags”, and the scale in its original, though damaged, box. It was obvious the product box was damaged before it was packed. I also mentioned that the batteries appeared to be missing.
Within four hours of submitting the feedback, I received an email from EatSmart thanking me for the feedback about the damaged box, and suggesting that I might have overlooked the batteries. I hate to admit this, but they were correct about the batteries, they were there all along. I never expected a response from anyone about my “feedback”, so I am very impressed and pleased with EatSmarts’ attention to company service. I thought it might be of interest.
