This CD is invaluable as a companion piece to Tanna Valentine’s marvelous DVD Bellydance Show Basics for Beginners and it also makes for fabulous music if you want to make up your own choreography, or just to listen to at home, alone or with guests; I just ironed a stack of clothes with this music on, making a boring job a pleasure!

Arranged by Amir Naoum and Elias Sarkar, the 14 tracks combine some very traditional melodies with a few original compositions. Naoum’s virtuosity shimmers in 3 drum solos (tracks 6, 9, and 12) and there are 2 vocals by Sarkar, track 8, which will be very familiar to middle eastern music aficionados, “Lama Bada” (this piece gets an instrumental version as well in track 11), and track 10 “Bu Dunya.” Another familiar piece is “Soode-Soode” which also gets 2 treatments, on track 7 and again in the fantastic “Finale.” Two big favorites for me are the sensual Ciftetelli tracks (5 and 13) with the oud and violin weaving their magical notes.

Well produced with a nice, clear sound, “Belly Dance New York” will be an excellent addition to your middle eastern music collection. Total playing time is 49:29.

This is not at all Christian. It is, however, completely representative of the therapeutic, self-fulfilling kindliness that passes for Christianity in America these days. If that’s all you’re looking for, here’s a deception that will effectively lull you into a warm, cozy and shallow life of obtuseness. It’s like deliberately choosing to turn yourself into a “smiley face”. What kind of person settles for that?

If you are Christian, stick with the Bible and your church. Those provide the challenging truths a person needs to understand, along with the reassurance and affirmation that keeps us striving to be fully human, the likeness and image of God.

I am very happy with my Hoover SteamVac. It was easy to assemble and easy to use. It cleaned my very dirty carpets- two dogs and two kids. I live in Alaska and we track in a lot of dirt and mud. The amount of dirt that the SteamVac removed from the carpet was amazing! I dumped bucket after bucket of filthy water. I now feel much more comfortable watching my three year roll around on our clean carpet.

I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for a cleaner that can do heavy duty cleanup- but you do have to commit some time. It took me three hours to do our small living room- but that was the first time it had ever been cleaned. I also think this machine is going to be great for quick cleanup jobs. I store it right next to the vaccuum- it doesn’t take up that much space.

This machine is a great value.

there is obvious confusion abounding in the world today. If people would simply read their Bible, asking God for His illumination on their reading, they would know who He is. this book is not the voice of God, but of a confused individual. don’t buy it.

My dog, a golden ret./border collie mix sheds year round and this is the first brush that really keeps it under control. And while some rake-style brushes have hurt him before pulling off some top coat with the bottom coat, he nevers minds being brush with the furminator.

Works very well, many features, powerful and very flexible. A real bargain as I expected to pay much more for this performance.

I tried desperately not to go to the dark side. I was a big fan of Open Office…until I used it more and more. MS Office is faster and easier to use. It also has features amenable to tablet PC use that are seamless. I often sign by hand (on my tablet) and fax documents I create. Previously, I had to print to windows journal, sign, and then print to pdf. With the inking features built into Word, I can sign to my document “directly”, save it as a pdf and then fax it with fewer steps, all without using any paper. MS office just works more intuitively than Open Office, for instance it is much simpler to set up a background for a slide show presentation in Power Point than in Open Office Impress.
