I’ve just started the book and it is a great read. It is pretty long, but it is hard to put down. I’d definitely recommend it!

We have a 14 month old daughter that plays on the floor all the time. It was very important to us to keep the carpets as clean as possible for her. (Ironically she is also the one who get them dirty!…haha) We typically have had a carpet clean company come in and clean our carpets once a year. We realized it was really only some of the traffic areas and occasional spots that needed cleaned and it was a waste to pay to have all the carpets cleaned every year. We bought the Hoover SteamVac to clean up the occasional spill here and there and to help keep the main living areas cleaner for our daughter. All I can say is…WOW! We chose the SteamVac because it had countless great reviews from other users and it was highly rated by Consumer Reports. I was completely impressed with the results of this unit. We had some grease spots by our door leading to the garage and the machine got it out with no problems. I cleaned other areas of the house too that didn’t really look dirty, but the water was almost black when I poured it out. Vacuuming the carpets before you use the Hoover SteamVac to clean them, seemed to get the best results in cleaning the carpets. While it would be possible to use this to clean all your carpets, you would have to refill the tank several times. I found the tank held about enough water to clean one 10×10 room. All-in-all, this is a great carpet cleaner and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I have a Jack Russel that sheds somewhat sporadically. She sheds nothing at some times, but at others, she leaves PILES of hair wherever she sits. She hates to be brushed as well, but she LOVED this brush and sits on me as fast as she can when I pull this brush out! It looks terrifying, but she does that thing with her rear leg that they do when you scratch that special spot on their back or side, she just loves it. But enough about her; this brush pulls out a ton of hair. I used it lightly to get her used to it and then started gradually adding pressure, and the performance improved exponentially. It pulled out her entire undercoat, and made her look like she lost a measurable amount of weight. Her hair is smoother, shinier, and there isnt even enough to grab a hold of when I try to grab hair on her. This brush does exactly what it claims to do, and does it extremely well!

I was always certain I would@ never have any desire to read the Twilight books, but I was a little curious, so I downloaded a sample of the first novel on my Kindle to check it out. To my surprise, I was intrigued and impressed by the first chapter, and so I decided to purchase the whole book.
I read it in five days, and it would have been fewer days if I didnt have to work and sleep. It was so well written, suspenseful, and engrossing that I couldnt put it down. The relationship between Bella and Edward is so beautiful and well developed, and the vampire world really pulls you in. The author has a natural ability to keep you turning the page. Very hard to put down and definitely worth the ride. it’s easy to see why so many people have gotten sucked in to the Twilight mania.

I like the Kindle 2 much better than I’d anticipated. I procastinated in getting an eReader because I thought reading from a screen would be annoying. After reading on my Kindle 2 for the past two months, I can honestly say that my experience has been a pleasant surprise. I barely am aware of pressing the button to turn the pages, and I really like the ability to increase the font size! The downloads on the 3G system are very fast. I like the ability to look up words in the Kindle’s dictionary too. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate the Kindle 2 a solid 10.

The FURminator Small Blue deShedding Tool works well.
The only problem I see is that there is not an automatic release for the fur.

I have never used a Garmin before. I like it because I can track my mileage and heart rate together. The only problem I have is that I was running with my friend who wears the same Garmin model. Over a 4 mile loop, her Garmin showed a full 1/10 of a mile further than my model. I’m still figuring out the features, but overall, I’m very happy with it.

Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket PedometerI chose this pedometer since it was highly rated and supposed to work on my waist, pocket or purse. It counted erratically and, most of the time, not at all. Counting my own steps compared to the pedometer, it picked up about twenty percent when it was counting. It didn’t count at all in my pocket. We set it for my husband’s weight and stride and it counted about half his steps when speed walking, not at all at a normal pace. I returned the product.

I’ve been using my Forerunner 305 for about a month now and I’m very happy with it. Needless to say much better than my previous Forerunner 201. It picks up satellites much faster than older versions; though still takes little longer on a cloudy day. It’s got ton of features; which most of them I’ll probably never use. Heart-rate monitor seems to be working nicely. overall, I’m very happy with this GPS.

I admit, it took me a little while to warm up to this series, but now I’m hooked! The audiobook is an incredible performance, as well. Eoin Colfer creates a fascinating new universe that is peopled with equally fascinating characters. It would be a great read for preteens, but as an adult, I thoroughly enjoyed it as well. I also love the physical book – the cover is much nicer than shown here, and it has uneven, old-fashioned looking rag paper pages. It’s much higher quality material than you usually find in a hardback.
