My wife and I bought one and were happy with it for a couple of months. The problem was, the product only lasted a couple of months. You need to use a bit of pressure to get a good grating but the cheap plastic doesn’t allow for much pressure at all. If you buy this, be warned that the handle WILL break and you’ll be stuck with a piece of trash. Buy the Zyliss or, better yet, find the highly rated grater made by Pedrini (they are hard to find). Often if you do an online search for Pedrini Rotary Grater, this hunk of plastic junk from KitchenAid is what comes up.

I keep thinking I read a different book than other people, because I thought “Twilight” was terrible. I didn’t even bother finishing the rest of the series. I wasn’t sure if it was Bella’s co-dependancy or Edward’s controling was worst or the fact that Stephine Meyers’s forced dialogue. I’ve graded papers from college freshman that had more substance.

Seriously, I think the book had too many plots. I think if she just stuck with Vampire/Quileute Tribe — I think it would still have been an interesting to make up her own the lore with the myths. But, she started adding these “trackers”… then “running off to Arizona”… then in the next book, “running off to Italy”… come on. There were a ton of characters that she hardly develops. And frankly, I only found Jacob, her father, and Dr. Cullen the only actually interesting characters. They were the only ones that seemed realistic to keep me interested.

Although, having actually been to Forks, WA and Port Angeles, WA and spending time in those towns… she did get those areas spot on. I was pleased that she respected the Olympic Mountains and their beauty.

Bought as a present for my son, the apps we’ve downloaded have given him hours of fun. My only wish would be to bring down the price another $10-20. Thanks Steve Jobs and everyone else at Apple for creating this great device.

Sara Gruen’s “Water for Elephants” pulls you in to an intriguing world right from the very first page. The story is a masterful accounting of Jacob Jankowski’s days working as a vetinerian for the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth, as relived by Jacob in his late years while residing in an assisted living home. Gruen moves the reader effortlessly from the past to the present and back again. The passages describing Jacob’s experience with the circus are delightful, engaging, and at times sad and horrifying. However, some of the more emotional passages are of Jacob’s elderly years. Gruen’s novel evokes the smell, feel, and taste of the Depression years even though the story’s focus is on the traveling circus. Her ability to bring to life the characters and their emotions is superb. I haven’t read a novel with such a unique plot in a long time. This novel was more than entertaining — it satisfyingly brought to life another time and place.

I was a bit skeptical, but this an easy affordable option that had a wonderful outcome. The book got to me in three or four days, and was in really good condition. I look forward to my next purchase! (I got the book for less than half of what I would’ve paid retail… including shipping!) If you can wait a few days for your book, go this route!

Book-Water for Elephants A very different book. Not bad reading, but far from exceptional. Would rate it a three and one half stars.

If you want to read about God … as in Christian God, go to the Bible. If you want a book that will make you feel good about all your choices and that will avoid anything that might “offend” you for making bad choices, this is your book. This book is basically the opinion of the author about what his god would say about particular actions and/or situations. If you’re looking for a “feel good” not too committal or deep regard for Christian values, this is your book. If you want something more legit…that speaks truthfully about the word of God, again, go to the Bible. This book finds ways to justify any action you make as “okay” and without serious consequence. The title is a bit deceiving.

I never bought a vacuum from a website and I have never thought that I will do that. This is the best vacuum I have ever bought because it makes my carpet like a new one. It cleans very well and whenever you want to clean the container just get rid of the bag. It is ver convenient way to clean the container and it worth every penny. I recommend it for sure.
