First off, let me start by saying I do 100% believe these are actual conversations with God. I don’t think he made it up to try to persuade people of anything, I do believe these are the words of God. I can’t wait to read the second one. It’s interesting for someone like me to rad q book like this becuase it gave me more of an idea what/who God is really about. I’m understanding a lot more how s/he works and operates and this along with others ( books and personal experiences) had made me 100% a believer again.

Kathryn Stockett portrays home life for white and black families in MIssissippi before the Civil Rights Legislation and the Black Power movements of the 1960’s. For those under 40, the privileges and responsibilities of household segregation may be surprising, but for those over 40, Stockett gives us an accurate picture of how that divide stratified and scripted women’s dreams and heartaches. A good story line keeps you rushing on to see how the next crisis is resolved and what the options are for each side. Her style is clear and dialogue believable. This way of life was pretty common South of the Mason Dixon line in this country. Insightful, not preachy.

Hidden Victims, Hidden Healers is an excellent resource book for family and friends of people who are living with some form of mental or emotional disorder. Written in a no-nonsense, accessible style, and filled with true-life stories of others in this position, Hidden Victims, Hidden Healers offers the reader options without giving advice, lets the reader know that they are not alone in their difficulty, and suggests additional resources for both the reader and their loved one. Perhaps best of all is the permission which Ms. Johnson gives the reader to live their own life-being compassionate to a loved one does not mean sacrificing your own right to a happy and fulfilling life. As a fellow professional, as well as one who has herself been in this dilemma, I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

This is a very nice looking scale and very easy to use. I like how it automatically turns on when you step in. The numbers are big ad easy to read.
I wish it also calculated your BMI, but it is not a deal-breaker

The Pampers Kandoo Wipes, Sensitive, are just that… very gentle to sensitive skin. The size of the wipe is good also. We have tried every wipe on the market to date and this is the best.

This pedometer is accurate, but the large clip causes the pedometer to stick out 1 1/2 inches away from the body. Not cool under a fitted T shirt. The safty clip couldn’t be pried open with a sturdy butter knife. Usless,so I threw it away and use a small safety pin. Pocket only pedometer.

I use this watch when I go kayaking to measure how far I have gone. It’s a little bulkier than the Garmin 405 but is also $200 cheaper. I like that the main screens are customizable. The picture shows three items on the screen but you can actually have a max of four items on the screen. You can also change which fields it shows to fit your needs. You can cycle through each screen by using the arrow keys and can see your route on the map by pressing the menu key. It also comes with a wireless heart rate monitor that connects automatically to the watch. If you are a real man, i.e. have a hairy chest, the heart rate monitor is a bit uncomfortable as it tends to pull at the hair. My biggest problem is that I forget to stop my lap and the car ride home messes up my data…but that is not the watches fault!

The product is amazing. Sometimes it takes a little while to locate a satellite but I leave it on my window sill while I’m getting ready so it has time to connect. There are so many features and all are very easy to use. I haven’t tried to HRM feature yet but plan to do so soon.

A fast moving tale with well developed characters giving a good picture of life at the time. I read The Kitchen House right after. It was even better.
