I have used my Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer every day for a month and it has changed the way I walk. My first day I did 12,175 steps and by my 30th day I was walking over 28,009 steps. It is so easy to wear and keep track of your walking. I’ve even dropped it a few times and it is so well made it wasn’t damaged in any way. I know several other people who love their’s.

I’m always apprehensive of carpet cleaners that you buy, rather than rent. Those red, box-looking cleaners do the best job, but I’m sure they’re $800 if you want to buy one. You just can’t beat the suction they provide.
This one is a close second, though. I really like the following:
1. Lots of brushes that scrub the carpet thoroughly – you can see them spinning!
2. Good vaccuum pump that sucks up the majority of the water, leaving the carpet only slightly damp afterwards.
3. Lightweight, easy to maneuver
4. Attachments do a good job as well – there’s a hand-held, spinning-brush scrubber for stairs.
The only thing I don’t like about this cleaner is the complexity of its design:
1. The “catch tank” is a pain in the ass. The seal around it is very persnickety, and if you don’t have it sealed just right, it won’t suck up the water from the carpet.
2. The storage of the hand-held upholstery cleaner is a pain; it fits onto the back of the unit like a Chinese puzzle
All in all, I’d pick this carpet cleaner over any other I’ve tried.

This is easily the best book I have read in a long time. I had never heard or it, it was not recommended to me, and I did not see it at Borders. I just happened across it on Amazon and decided to take a gamble on an “unknown”. I read this book in 2 days, and was overwhelmed by the amount of feelings it conjures up. This is a great time period novel, and I will be recommending it to all my friends.

This is great! Really helps get rid of my dogs undercoat. She still sheds but not nearly as much.

The troll rounded on him, all ten talons sliding out to their full extent. Drops of venom glistened from the tip of each tusk. Playtime was over.
In Artemis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer, young prodigy Artemis Fowl II wants gold. And, as a twelve-year-old criminal mastermind, he knows how to get it. In order to retrieve one ton of twenty-four-carat gold, he abducts Captain Holly Short, a fairy of the LEPrecon Unit. Along with his manservant Butler, Artemis encounters a digging-and-entering dwarf, a one hundred and eighty kilogram troll, and a bio-bomb capable of wiping out every single living thing in his entire mansion. Eventually, Artemis comes out with about half the money he originally was hoping for. Artemis Fowl is a perfect fantasy for anyone interested in a good book.
One interesting part of the novel is how it is told from many points of view. Most of the time, you see the world from Holly’s or Artemis’s eyes, them being the main characters. This leaves you wondering who to root for, the police officer or the criminal. However, sometimes the story is even told by more minor characters, such as Butler, who sees most of the action, or Mulch Diggums, a career criminal dwarf the LEP hire to enter Artemis’s mansion.
Another enjoyable part of the book is its believability. For instance, throughout the book, little tidbits about fairies and their history appear, such as the fact that the human word “leprechaun” originally came from LEPrecon, or the Lower Elements Police Recon Unit. This helps make the whole concept of a “fairy” more plausible. Also, in the book, fairies are considerably more technologically advanced than humans. This should only be expected, considering the fact that they can use their magic incorporated in with their inventions. It also brings readers away from the “medieval witchcraft and wizardry” generally associated with this type of fantasy. Finally, the author researched many dangerous weapons and deadly tactics and placed his findings in the

The Kodak camera was faulty and failed right out of the package. Considering the success of the Flip, I just returned it and went with the better competitor. Unfortunately the memory chip went with it. But i’ve had good results with these SD chips.

Like (probably) most folks who read this book, it was jammed down my throat as Required! Reading! in my Honors English class in High School (I guess they saved it for the Honors class because we were all Ivy-bound brilliants who wouldn’t be seduced into the gutter by all the naughty language and behavior depicted in the book).
Why?
Since when was rebellion for its own sake considered radical in the literary sense?
Reading this book was like getting stuck on the last commuter bus home next to a drunken, rambling teenager.
Its style may have been “radical” for its time, but it’s neither interesting nor particularly well-written. I have no idea why this is considered a “classic.”
To me, an example of a “classic” is something like Frank Herbert’s “Dune”–even though it was written back in the 60’s, before the lunar landing, it still remains an epic story in and of itself, even with the science fiction aspects removed. “Catcher” on the other hand is more of a period piece, and makes for boring reading, like most of the Bronte sisters’ works which we were also required to slog through (oooh, Edwardian social mores, and written by a WOMAN! How RADICAL and RELEVANT!! not….).
In short, this book for me sums up everything that’s wrong with the way that English-language literature is taught in school. No, we shouldn’t let kids read the funnies and the White Pages and call it literacy, but there has been enough new stuff in the past 40 years to push out some of the no-longer relevant stuff.
This product does what it says, works perfectly, is very easy to use, and is an overall great product. The size is not a issue with me. I like being able to read everything on the screen as I’m running. Buttons are in the right locations for turning it on/off or pausing and starting again. I wouldn’t spend the money on the 405, for what this one has everything you need. Unless you’re trying to impress others.

This book was recommended to me by a few different people. I knew NOTHING about it when I went to pick it up. I was hesitant at first. I am not a fan of the circus at all. But knowing that one of the friends that had recommended it is also not a fan of the circus, I was cautiously optimistic.
I am glad that I gave it a chance. It is a well written story that really draws a vivid picture for you. A great reflection of the times with a love story that had me in tears in parts. Highly recommend to all.
