I had used a friend’s unit several times and loves it, so I bought my own!
BT A1401 002 Laptop
This could not be more awesome! Works great. You will not believe the hair that makes up the “undercoat” of your dog! I have no complaints at all. It does exactly as it states. I have bought several brushes. This is by far the best. Well worth the money.
Opteka 45x Wide Angle
I was not impressed with the book. Yes, it is intriguing and well-written. But the “wisdom” is what I would expect an articulate, well-versed liberal arts professor to say. So much of it is what we want to hear, what we want to believe. I felt like Neale created a God that placates people, tells them what they want to hear, tells of the wisdom of this age. I have read and studied several religious texts, from the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, etc. In my studies I came to know that the Bible holds the truth of God – but this is a realization for all of us to have individually with God. I actually picked up CwG before I came to believe in the Bible – and I put it down after I read it thinking that the book was filled with man’s wisdom. I had a course in college that taught the same thing. I was seeking God’s true wisdom and studied Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, etc.
This book is nothing new, and tells people what they want to hear – not the truth of things. I don’t think God was the one moving Neale’s pen, I believe it was Neale’s own thoughts and wisdom moving his pen.
So, you can choose to listen to God’s truth or Neale’s truth. But this book is clearly full of Neale’s truth. The book takes basic modern-day mysticism tenets and attributes them to God moving Neale’s pen so Neale can enlighten the world.

This scale is unusual in several respects:
1. Very bright, well lit number pad. Very easy to read under any lighting conditions, but does require four AAA batteries.
2. Slow to self-calibrate after you place it on the floor or move it. You literally need to give it a minute to settle down.
3. Slower to decide on your weight than other scales.
I called their customer service and they called back within minutes. They said that they WANT users to realize that the scale is calibrating and so they intenionally don’t make it appear like it is ready to use when it really is not.
Seems like they value accuracy over speed. That is a fair trade-off, just be sure it is the tradeoff that you choose when you purchase the scale.
It does have a beautiful look. I put it on my wood floor and you can see the walnut grain of the floor through the glass. Nice.
BLUE MEDIUM Doggles Mesh
I procrastinated for a very long time on this purchase and as others have already pointed out, I now ask myself, why did I wait this long? Mind you, I’ve only used it for three runs totaling about 17 miles but thus far I think I can justify a very positive review. For me it was relatively easy to set up. I explored some options before my 1st use and set up a few screens to accommodate running. Cycling will be next. This may well become as indispensable a tool for my workouts and training as running shoes are to running or a bike to cycling. Being able to monitor pace, speed, distance, time, caloric burn, and heart rate adds a scientific basis for making adjustments to my training regimen. The Garmin Workout Center is a great way to track/review your workouts. I’ve yet to explore all the features available with the 305 and there are many such as programmed workouts for running and cycling. One recommendation though, be sure you charge the device well before using. It seems the battery does drain even when it is turned off.
Bottom line, if you are serious about running and or cycling, I don’t see how you can go wrong in purchasing the Forerunner 305. With pricing at approx. a buck and a half it is a bargain.
Classic Straight USB Cable
I love this scale. It looks great and is easy to read. I’m in WW and they have calibrated scales. I have never noticed anything more than .2 difference. I like mine so well that I purchased one for a friend who reached her WW goal. Figured it’s a good way to keep her in line! She loves the scale as much as I do. I would highly recommend this, especially if you are on a budget. I doubt you can do much better at an affordable price.
LINUX BASED ADSL POWERS
It actually still works. The only issue I am having, and its not a big one, just a small pet peve is that when the screen is black, there is a red tint to it. I have only had it for a day or so and only used it for a few hours. It was fine at first. I am sure its the cable as I tried other cables and none of them had the same results. You get what you pay for.
Pampers Swaddlers Mega Pack
At first, I was so excited to receive this scale. I went through all the reviews and decided that my chances of liking this scale would be high so I ordered. Once I got the scale, I didn’t have any problems starting it up. I was nervous after reading some of the other reviews but was determined enough to make sure mine worked properly. Once the scale was completely set up and working, I would randomly step onto it throughout the day. At first, I was quite impressed on how sensitive this scale was after eating meals. However, now I am just frustrated with the difference that this scale reads me. I feel like I can never get my exact wight because it fluctuates so much. I’ll wake up in the morning and weigh myself but by the end of the day, I will have gained 6-8lbs. By the way, this happens EVERYDAY and I’ve had this scale for almost a month now. I know that this scales job is to read what my weight is but whether it’s just me or the scale itself, I find that I don’t truly know my weight because I never get the same number twice. On the flip side, once the scale reads your weight it will hold that number for a few seconds after you get off.

Amazing how quickly these devices become “indispensable”. Incredibly useful training tool, allowing one to guage intensity of effort and track progress over time. My only major knock on the Garmin is it’s longevity. I’ve had 4 units over the last few years. There seems to occur some malfunction or other when the unit is about 18-20 months old. The tech support people are very helpful in attempting to resolve the issue on-line, but I have invariably had to ship the unit to Kansas for exchange. The last problem was data transmission to the pc. Before that, on two occasions the unit just wouldn’t power up. Still, I really enjoy using it.
